Installer sent pics. By the time it was ready for pickup it was to late to get it. So, i'll get it tomorrow.
F: ICON coil overs set at 2.5". R: ICON shocks and TTL-1210 coils on 285/70-17 Yokohama's.

Question? Maybe its the angle of pic, but travel seems small in shock? Never really paid attention to the Bilstein 5100s that were on it.

I don't know the exact specs of the Icon 211000 struts but the Bilstein 5100 #24-187367 have a compressed length of 15.12" and an extended length of 21.4" for a total stroke length of 6.2" - which is comparable with Monroe 72292 OE replacement struts that are 15.438" compressed, 21.625" extended for a stroke length of 6.187".

Since the strut in that 2nd photo is not even in the truck, fully extended I'd assume we would see around 6" of exposed rod (I can't believe I'm typing that sentence.. :ROFLJest:) but it sure looks a lot smaller.

The strut is mounted about 2/3 of the lower control arm length so wheel travel is around 150% of strut travel. It's not huge numbers really but without longer arms it's what we get.

Perfect explanation.
Thanks

Was this a picture your installer sent to you ?
Why would your installer get a picture from somebody else to send to you showing old vs new ?
The picture you posted is exactly the same picture here, minus the shoe :)

Second pic isn't mine. Hence why I didn't include them with mine. It was a reference only. :)

I'd think the angle of the picture make those Icon CO's appear smaller so i wouldn't worry too much about it. They should be same lenght as stock. Kings or Fox give you an extra inch extension had you gone that way but you wouldn't have seen the difference with the factory UCA's.

Something you could do will be to try to flex the rear and see if the the TTC 1210's can hold the Icon shocks you have without getting out of their seats. I have those listed as being 17.75" in free lenght, the stock springs are 18.25", but the stock shocks are 25.50" extended while the Icons are 27" extended.

You can always go to Lowes or Home Depot and get some steel clamps and wrap the coils around their seats for cheap insurance. I don't need them in my case but have left them in there cause old habits never die :)

Per measurement on the 1210s I did get about 1" lift. It says you don't, but I did.
I am still on the fence about getting the Bilstein coils. I drove truck around today and think the softer coil (lack of a better word) might be better. I remember you saying the Bilstein are longer but more factory ride.
