Idle drop

I have a 2017 ram 5.7 every now and then when i come to a stop my idle drops from 800-1000 to right at 400-500rpms. It just started doing this on thursday. Any help would be appreciated

Try disabling Hill Start Assist and let us know if it stops

I don't know enough about the 2017 to tell you its a bad thing...I know the 8 speeds are efficient and can shift and skip gears and feels different than when used to driving a 4, 5, or 6 speed tranny.

Does it feel weird or vibrate excessively? If not, I'd be willing to bet it's normal. I idle at about 550 while warm and I have a '14 8spd.

No it doesnt vibrate or sound bad or anything out the norm. It drives great besides the eco mode drone sounding like a muke dieing. This is the newest vehicle ive ever owned want to keep it running and driving

Yeap 2017. Its hard getting it to the dealer because the dates are so far out and i cant take off to go bring it and they wont get me a rental until they diagnose and determine hiw long its going to take to repair
