Just got one coming in tomorrow for $165 off eBay. The one we got from them for my friends pathfinder works great so I figured I would try their curved ones now that they sell them.

Reapur if you pop the hood and look on the drivers side firewall you'll see a black Diamond shaped plastic piece. Drill that out and run your wire then seal around it.

Would you folks recommend using the highbeam switch or adding a seperate switch for the LED bar?

Same place I went through ^^^
Two nuts behind the pedals hold the little plate on.

x2

Thats the clutch plate for rams with a stick. Perfect place to go through the firewall.

2012 Express.
I've been lurking, decided to join and post my own pic. This is the 42"/45" Cree light bar that I picked up from eBay. I bought a 40 Amp switch and installed it with a 35 amp fuse running directly off the battery. These light bars so awesome, I love how freaking bright they are, especially with the 2012 headlights.

I'm still trying to decide if I should plastidip the grill surround to black out the mounting tabs or just cut out 90% of the original grill. I used 1/4" 1.5" aluminum straps, bent to fit and used the lower bumper mounting bolts. The 42" light bar fits nicely on the 2012s and fills up the lower grill opening without touching the white paint of the bumper cover. Don't forget to mask the whole area around the lower grill to protect your paint while installing.

I actually ran a 40 amp relay and a 6amp min switch. I ran the battery to relay with some 14 gauge I had laying around short run and I don't leave then on long usually. Ran the same gauge to the light bar. Then used the truck ground next to the fuse box to get a solid ground with same 14 gauge. Then ran a power in 16 gauge I also had laying around to the relay from batt. Then used the 16 for a ground to the switch. I prefer running my ground switches rather than power that way if the wire ever gets nicked down the road no worries it has no power plus I don't need a heavy switch or a fuse since its grounded just have the one 30 amp fuse for the power side of the relay. Mine is also a ebay $160 42" curved led. Figure 240 watts so it draws about 20 Amps so I used a 40 amp relay so I can add some small pods later if I want I still have plenty extra power to play with on that one switch.

This is one way to mount that a 50" curved bar ! View attachment 35794

I like that setup. Would go good with the 42" in the bumper already but I would have to go up to a 7" lift and 37's or I would smash it on something. I don't have enough clearance for it at the moment but I may try and mount one to see how long it will take me to rip it off on something.

Brackets

I am needing more information as to the type of brackets you used to install the light bar into the bumper. What shape, size, thickness of steel? (if you have pictures please post) Also about how long did it take you to do the installation?
