So your bar is a 42"? or a 45"? I think only the lighting surface is the size...

Like a 42" TV is the size of the viewing area, and not called a 45" because it includes the bevel.

ya. I was going by the ebay description. It's a 42" light...45" bracket to bracket. Sorry. that being said...ya there's no way a 49" bar will fit in that space.

How much of the bumper bezel did you have to cut to make it fit nicely? I like your set up and think thats what I may do :D....thanks

How long of bracket did you use to attach to the bumper? 2-3 inches??

Thanks to this thread and all of you.... Ill be ordering a 42" bar and installing in the front bumper. Lol

Buddy of mine has a 2011 and he mounted his on the roof above the windshield. Looks great but wind noise is terrible. No vibration but it sounds like a work van with a ladder rack on top inside lol he has a custom strait pipe exhaust and you can still hear it even over the exhaust noise.

Gonna look into a pair of the cubes to hook into my reverse lights as well.. Can't see a damn thing at night with my tint and interior LEDs. Just need to find a good mounting location. Maybe a custom bracket under the rear bumper out of plain sight and angle the lights down?

For the reverse lights you can do some flush mount pods like this. I thought about it but my backup camera and led reverse lights do the trick for me with my limo tint ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416457764.582793.jpg

Man, aint that the truth! I'm in much the same boat.

Looks great, but I have parksense, and I suspect real-estate is sparse at best. Maybe a single-row flush mount? I also need spread, more than throw.

I really need to find a local truck outfitter who is "up" on all the latest. I want to do the 42" curved bar in my grille for driving lights (tied to HiBeams), a pair of "something" lower down for fog/cornering/ditch-illumination (tied to Hi- and Lo-Beams).... and have all of them (including reverse aux) controlled by one master switch that looks pretty close to "factory" (like maybe add the OEM foglight button in the knob?).

Those look great, but I'd really like to avoid drilling holes in my bumper. Might look into a wide low profile bar I can mount along the bottom of the rear bumper, I'll post pics when I come up with something.

How thick is the metal y'all are using for the mounting brackets? I have some 1/4" thick diamond plate (the stuff they use for compartment trays ect on fire apparatus) I'd think a single piece would be enough, but maybe I'll double it up just to be safe...

Truck looks great. Where did you get the light bar from? I've been looking for one for my truck

All curved are the same. I own a small light company. The curved bars are all
Spot pattern.

I've never seen these in person. The point of it being a radius bar is to have spot pattern so the light travels further and the bar being bent so the light can be thrown in a wider direction that a straight bar where the light is focused in one area. My producer explained to me having a flood spot combo on a radius bar is pointless. All these bars put out crazy amount of light so I doubt it's a noticeable difference anyhow. I would say find the cheapest one you can find

ya that makes sense, i just pictured the small portions on the outside being spot so they hit the ditches better and the flood in the middle just being a wider smoother pattern instead of a pencil style beam. either way it seems to be bright enough for me! ha

Got confirmation that the superbrightLED ones are from China...guess they all are these days...I just ordered a 25" curved one for my truck. Planning on putting it between the tow hooks on my 2500.
