I purchased my Bully Dog from Auto Anything for $425.00. The physical install was simple and went well. The total time to install was about 45 minutes. I followed the directions the best I could and found them lacking detail however what Bully Dog lacks in their paperwork they more than make up with their unmatched customer service and support. I was having trouble with the firmware install and I got a hand hold walk through on the phone after only holding for about 2 min. Good people and knowledgeable about their products.
So before I did anything else to my truck, which now has 5500 miles on it, I wanted to see what the tuner alone would do for me. Thus far I have experienced better throttle response with only the 87 Octane(Regular) tune. This is all while keeping all settings the same. I am half way through that tank of gas and will give input on 93 Octane(Premium) tune in the weeks to come. I will then install a CAI(K/N or S&B, jury is still out) and see what that does for me. I will then install a CATBACK of some sort which I invite advice on..........please! I want gains not LOUD! So I figured by doing it this way I will be able to see what each and every mod has done for the overall performance instead of doing it all at once and not really knowing.

Congrats on the new tuner. You made a great choice.

On the intake, I would go with S&B over K&N anyday of the week. The K&N is better than stock, but it is going to make more noise than power. The S&B will be a little quieter in the cab and show better gains. Reguardless of which one you choose, I would pair it up with a ported throttle body to get the most out of it.

As for catback systems, Its hard to beat Magnaflow for overall sound and performance. Their dual exit kits have a nice smooth rumble without being annoying in the cab. They will perform just as well as the more expensive Corsa and Borla kits, and because they are full stainless, they will last the life of the truck.

I had similar experience with BullyDog customer service. The unit needed a software update and they walked me through it every step of the way. Haven't felt a big SOTP difference as of yet, but my last "hot rod" was a Terminator cobra, so expectations are high.

Going to add a Vararam and exhaust very soon which i am sure will help.
