You can put the 5th Gen front end on a 4th Gen body,it's been done a few times,but it's not exactly cheap,and you'll want a good bodyman in your corner.

Sixth gens have six cab mounts, previous gens had four cab mounts.

In the HD world, which is still on the 4th Gen design, folks started calling the refreshed 2019 (4.5 Gen) 5th Gen, which it's not, so naturally with the 2025(4.75 Gen) refresh they started calling them 6th Gen. Not so sure in the 1500 world. At least they got the 5th Gen cab.
