Is my engine running? I can't hear it even when driving. How I did it.

It really came about due to wanting to improve mpg ... especially when towing.

Why yes I am more than familiar with the famous Hemi tick. The 2500 Power Wagon I have is not the first Ram I have had in my garage. I will tell you, even if they do have a tick, filling them with whatever has been posted is not going to cure the problem, but if anything maybe make you feel better about how it's sounding. I have never had any problems and I have always used the correct type of oil stated by what's on the oil cap. Even when my last truck reached 95,000 ,miles, never had to worry about the noise getting worse than what it sounded like at 3,000 miles.

It must be the T-6 that makes it quiet. My EcoD is quiet as a church mouse while driving/cruising. About the loudest it gets is at idle, which is just enough diesel clatter so you know what it is.
I usually can hear a Hemi as it passes me on the freeway (then I pass it when the Hemi is stopped to fill up with gas...lol).

I mixed it all and boiled it for 30 min... when you drop it in water and it forms a soft ball it’s done. It’s good for the life of the motor... shouldn’t be long.

In reality I’m not sure why people treat these things like cooking. Stick to the recommendations in your manual. I’ll take a little tick over possibly not lubricating things inside the motor as designed. Something spinning 7,000 times a minute with clearances in the thousandths requires some precision. Just my 2 cents.

My engine is so quiet. So is my truck as a whole; even while driving.

This is how to do it.

1. Start with this. Buy the gallon size.



2. About 1,500 miles before you do your oil change use this. It has a high PEA.



3. Then use Rotella it comes is various weights. I use 0W40. I also mix it. I use 4 quarts Rotella and 3 quarts Penzoil Ultra Platinum. Experiment with what works for you.

4. Get Nitto Dura Grapplers

My truck is pretty damn quiet as it is without all that junk added. Injector cleaners are bad news. That stuff eats injectors.
