Hey fellas
Got my JBA longtube headers installed this weekend. Impressed with the quality and power increases coupled with the updated tune. However, its a little raspy/loud for my taste. Its going into a Magnaflow 14", with the resonators deleted.
Would it be worthwhile putting the resonators back on?
Thanks! :happy107:

They will tone the raspiness down some. I ran them for a few days on mine. And then ditched them.

You don't mind the raspiness?

You might be able to town the raspy down by putting bigger tips on it, no joke. Larger tip change the harmonics a little. Might be enough to get rid of the raspy.

No it's not bad unless I'm driving it hard. If I'm driving around normal it's fairly quiet atleast to me anyways. And on the interstate at around 75-80mph in the cab it sound almost like it did before the headers was installed.
It just gets the real raspy tone when I'm running it hard. I'll see if I can find a video on my phone of the sound with the resonators installed for you.

I will definitely have the resonators reinstalled. That sounds just right
