Wife is happy now, :waytogo:

They are a bit stiffer but way more comfortable if that makes sense.

I ripped off all the electronics on the factory seats and put them in these ones. No airbag light and didn't need to fiddle **** with resistors.

Got the new light's installed and adjusted. The dual fogs are cool AF . Turn on/off to select between Amber and White.

Obviously Alpha ODB to disable the DRL junk.

In the settings, you can actually enable the fogs for DRL.

Now I need to order some smoked out turn signal lenses. Don't like how they stick out now.

Didn't get flashed yesterday morning on my way to Edmonton at 5am, so the 36" high cutoff at 25ft works wonders.

Not bad for 150$ :driver:

My daily driver for the past 10.5 years:
54055383048_21b95fa0c8.jpg

2014 Sport S with stick shift and 3.73 gears. AEV Savegre wheels wrapped in Toyo Open Country 35s. Cheapo Rough Country lift.

I had grand plans of overlanding with a rooftop tent and such, but my wife and kids are firmly entrenched in the "glamping" lifestyle- state park campgrounds with bath houses- so my Gobi rack is basically a glorified cargo box base (although it comes in handy for seasonal decorations).

I think we're going to buy one in Feb. or so.

I'm very curious about the little turbo 4 banger but don't see a lot of commentary about them.

My one stipulation when we bought my wife's was I wanted the 3.6L Pentastar.
Supposedly this will be the last year you can get one with the automatic transmission.
Her Grand Cherokee 4XE had the 2.O turbo as it's powerplant and I thought it was pretty gutless on it's own unless you were nearing redline...
(Though the GC is heavier so it might be ok...)
But it was loud too, and the Wranglers tend to have less insulation and sound deadening so I figured it would be pretty obnoxious...

I read that somewhere else, too.

Are they phasing out the Pentastar?

I've heard good things about them.

3.6 isn't going anywhere any time soon. It's still the base engine for a lot of vehicles. And the new Ram Ramcharger will be using one for it's generator.

That's interesting, as I test drove a 4 door Rubicon in Prescott Valley, which is @ 5K elevation, and didn't find it doggy. It was only noisy when wound out, but so is the Pentastar when you put the spurs to it.

I guess I just feel if you can get the same performance from a NA V6 why mess with a turbo at all...
By all accounts the new Hurricane S.O. 3L is supposed to out perform my 6.4L too, but I'm glad I got my Hemi...
I guess ultimately test drive one and if you like it buy it...
(I know they are discontinuing the ecodiesel Wrangler as well and lots of people liked those.)

I liked my 2009 Dodge Ram 5.7L

It only had a couple of Recalls
The Gas mileage was not the best

Then i bought the 2016 Ram 3.0L ecodiesel
except for the Federal Gov't spanking Ram & then the ECODIESEL SETTLEMENT
where the Gov't LOST

There was a time that it got 27 MPG when on a cross country trip
Then the Feds ruined that

Then recently, There has been a Recall on the Fuel Pump
which has been completed

But at elevation, where the NA engine will start wheezing, the turbski will stay much closer to its ratings. Even my 6.4 got pretty wheezy at only 5-8K feet.

They do need a new power plant for the Wrangler, and even the base 1500. The 3.6 Pentastar is getting a bit long in the tooth at 14-15 years old.

I'm for keeping it a lot simpler when it comes to the Wrangler. Turbo's are great, if you are moving, to keep the CAC cooled down. Off road, rock crawling, that thing is going to heat soak.

I'd prefer a larger N/A V6 or I6.
