Hey guys,I took delivery of my 2011 Dodge Laramie last night and when I got home I noticed the fog lights did not work. That in itself is no big thing usually...but the odd part is that the fog light indicator on the dash does come on when the button is pushed ..but comes on it the lights are on or off AND if the vehicle is on or off. If you don't manually turn them off the light will stay on even after you get out of the truck and lock it. I've never seen this issue before..any clues to lead me down the right path after I finis my coffee and try to find a diagram. I'm going to look for the relay but I've never seen a relay power up if the ignition is shut off ?

Boy do I feel like a fool...went out this morning after coffee and checked things out. The button I was pushing for the FOG lights was actually the rear cargo lights. I saw this morning that the headlight switch itself gets pushed in for the fog lights. Sorry to waste your time but this is my first dodge after years of having a F-150 and I'm finding a few things that the designers did totally different.

Good you figured it out. You'll want those fogs on a lot. One thing that is wrong with Ram (maybe only thing) is the headlights are too dim by themselves.
Fogs make a huge difference.

lol....the day I picked my RAM up, I drove the whole way home (over an hour) with my cargo lights on. When I got out a few times on the way I couldn't figure out why there was so much beeping...haha. I also came from a F150.

I had the same exact experience. It was the only thing I didn't know about the truck when I was at the dealership but I knew a heck of a lot more than the salesman.

Don't feel bad. Driving my 900 miles home after I bought my '15 2500 I did the same thing. Couldn't figure out WTF was going on. Really wanted them in the dark NV desert. Took me an hour to figure out while getting fuel.
