Trust me I understand, not everything is for everyone. If left up to me I would have a regular cab with all the bells and whistles. But alas I’m fat, tall and have a full replacement knee so I needed the extra interior space.

Whatever their reasoning...and I have heard a lot of conjecture...it is just for the reason you bring up that I think the "Classic" has been a marketing home run. Even if it only is for 2019, it brought in many buyers that were on the fence (like me) to the purchasing table for both cost reasons and the fact that some wanted the old style. I was kinda hoping the 5th gen would grow on me...it hasn't. but hey, some people love it, that's why we have choices.

Besides, it doesn't hurt one bit when the extra interior space is contained by a handsome truck.:D

Somewhat off topic but I just went from a regular cab short box to a crew cab and I don't think you get any more room up front with a crew cab, so if it's just you you're worried about I'd recommend checking some out in person when they come out. The front doors are definitely smaller in the crew cabs, so if anything I feel like my regular cab was easier to get in/out of. Of course if you need the back seat for other reasons that changes everything.

I had a Crew cab 4th and am now the owner of a 5th gen Crew cab and after being in both, I can say honestly there is more room in the DT version.3a9ac1f8b2a32cd47d27b14045f4ab2b.jpg

Oh that I believe for sure, I was referencing 4th gens being that is the only comparison available since the 5th gen regular cab isn't out yet.

For any of you guys that just can't warm up to the new 2019, don't try too hard to like it. The more folks buying them, the more you'll drive the price up. I haven't negotiated a price on my Laramie yet so I need sales to slow as much as possible. Seriously though, I have never liked the style of Ram, until this year. To each their own.

everybody likes something different. to me, my 2019 laramie with the sport hood and that little bit of lift from the ORP looks pretty good and really nice on the inside. the side view and back are pretty generic but dont exactly look bad. the classics look pretty much same since the 2003 that I had. not bad tho.

Really a great looking truck DRkNESS. I wish I would have known the sport hood looked that dang good. I would have had one put on my Laramie. (not really mine yet till it arrives and I sign the papers)

I do like the sport hood on the Laramie. Yours looks good even with the chrome.

I like the Rebel too, but I really like vented seats and it’s not available on the Rebel, even with the Rebel 12 package. I want a 4x4 even though I’m not an off-road kind a guy. I go on construction sites a bit and it rains like a mother here in SW Louisiana.
With all that being said, the Power Wagon is super cool and way too much truck for me.

I never really like any stock truck... But the 4th gens look really good. The 5th gens, need wheels/tires/stance and man - they are unreal!
