Their 3.0 R muffler and Y adapter, now am looking to buy black tips from MBRP. Does anyone have a go to vendor for me to use ? I'm located in NJ so any close to that shipping wise would gladly be appreciated. I wanted the Carven black tips, but was told they were a limited edition item. :(

If you go with MBRP, you will need to have 2.5" to 4" adapters welded in and also cut your resonators off. We have these in stock in both single walled rolled edge and double walled slant cut if you choose to go this route.

If you want an easier option, then we also have our bolt on polished 5" tips in stock. We do not offer these in black though, so you would need to have them painted/powdercoated if you want black. They are currently on sale for only $185 shipped for the pair.

The Carven mufflers are pretty loud, so I would consider keeping your resonators to reduce the noise level in the cab.

^^^^. Thank you for the heads up and I'll go to your site and order the 5" tips. I'll keep my resonator on as I really want to keep the noise to a proper level. :)

Drkness: Can you please record & post a video of your Carven in action after install? {If Possible}... Yes! Wise choice keeping your stock resonators on! The Carven is one extremely Pi$$ed of Muffler when installed... It sounds amazing but very hard to tame...

I as well am waiting for Carven to Restock their direct bolt on 4.5" Black Tips! I was told to keep on eye on facebook! When these tips are back in stock they would announce it on FB! $99 a pair was their introductory price! I missed it!

Yes. Please do post a good video of the sound. Once you get the Carven installed.

If you do get video, I would do it with stock tips and then again with the 5" tips. I think you will be surprised at how much deeper the tone gets with the 5" tips installed.

I'm sorry I should fully explain, I currently have 5" tips on my Ram. I'm having the whole system gone through and replace what needs to be. I will have the Carven 3.0 as well as the Y adapter installed. I wanted it to end in 5" tips again, but if it's a problem then the shop doing it will let me know.

Got my Carven last month. It's a bit louder than I expected with stock 4" tips and resonators left on. It mellowed out nicely after a couple weeks of carbon build up. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1454096357.005756.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1454096366.538408.jpg

The shop shouldnt have any trouble keeping your existing tips. You should be fine.

Just listened to it on my desktop with some decent headphones and it sounds pretty true to life. Listening to it through my iPhone speakers doesn't sound realistic.

Just Tips cost almost $200 :suicide: I saw the MBRP cat-backs going for mid $300s.

Says my parts should be here by Friday, but sadly won't be installed until the following Tuesday.

Seeing you guys pay $200 for tips makes me glad I didn't have factory rear exit exhaust.

I personally prefer no resonators.

I like the way the your "tips" come down, who makes that kit- or is a fabbed up piece?

A bit of both. Custom from the cat to the rear axle, then premade pipes from the Y over the axle, and a bit of custom before the tips to "tuck them". Tips are 16" long to further the tucked look.

I develop a twitch when I can see where the tip is welded to the pipe.

Carven is about to offer a full bolt up muffler kit like the Mufflex/Boeschbuilt offerings!

^^^. Oh really, maybe I'll wait until then as opposed to installing what I have from them now. :)

I was very up in the air about what exhaust to get but after hearing the sound from a carven, I believe I'm going to go with there exhaust. Has there been any news on when they are going to release their exhaust system.
