It’ll bump! What music are you in to?

All kinds really, but mostly 90's rock/grunge (FF, Tool, POD, AIC, Audioslave, etc, older classic rock ie Rush, Zep, Who, etc and older hip hop as well. Sometimes a bit of older, REAL country music as well...

yeah that fox box hits stupid hard. 500 watts is enough for sure! I figure just use the cup holders that are in the arm rest. not worth adding the fox one imo.

Quad cab doesn't have the rear armrest unfortunately. Not a big issue really but I'll look into it. Maybe one of those big box store plastic ones I can throw on the floor when needed.

Me likey!!!Are you willing to share installation costs? Just curious how long it took the pros to do a clean install like that?

I have a question please? I have a RC SB and I'm going to use a Rockville USS like @PowrRam suggested. I've followed his tips so far and my system sounds pretty decent just want some punch. Would I get a better effect if I mounted the powered sub against the back wall of the cab or under the drivers seat?
Thanks

Install cost was $250, and it took them about 5 hours total. I don't know that they worked on it for a solid 5 hours, but it was there that long. I went and played golf :).

I'll likely be adding JL Audio C2's in the doors very soon. The Pioneers just can't handle the power of the 400/4.

Picked up 2 pair of Alpine R Series 6x9's today - I was originally thinking on the JL Audio 6x9's but the power handling was below the amp rating, plus they were 3way - the Type R's are co-axial's so thinking they might work a bit better in my setup. They are the ones with the neodymium magnet so smaller than a typical 6x9. Anyway going to try these and if they don't work out then maybe I will move to the C2's or C3's.

Installed them this evening, went in pretty quick - quick drive to test them out they are definitely an improvement over the Pioneers. I'll drive and break them in over the next few days and start tuning.

Did they fit up front with no spacers?

Pulled the 4 ohm resistors off the dash speakers and it sounds so much better. They were only rated for 10 watts, which was fine with the stock HU amp, but with th 400/4 no so much lol.
