Just bought my truck this week. As I was leaving the dealer I noticed when I leaned on the armrest the radio would change the function to aux. When I would lean on it again it would switch back. I did this a couple times to make sure it wasn’t a coincidence. I also noticed when I open the arm rest there is a spot right before it is fully open where it changes the radio function to aux. I’m only opening the upper cover. I’m not opening the middle cover with the USB ports and aux plug. Has anyone ever heard of this? I’ve been going through some forums and looking online but haven’t found much about this. Thanks for your help!

Sounds like there's a short to ground and the radio thinks you plugged or unplugged something.

I being a curious mind and a cheapskate I would try to fix the USB port, it would be easier to replace it.eeb75c6d27f0154325b794a6f4b294c4.jpg

If you just bought it from a dealer i would take it back sooner than later and have them look at it. Most likely need the plug-in or wiring replaced.

It's that media hub my 14 did that. To get it to stop till I fixed it I took an old pair of headphones and cut the plug off and left it plugged in. So it always showed a source and stopped trying to switch back to it

Just realized that my 14 has done it....I always thought it was the old iPod cable wiggling around.

So I plugged in an aux cord yesterday and it hasn’t happened since. Thanks
