EFBBF835-A4F8-4708-97B4-DF5F0EA8E30A.jpeg Sure this has been asked a thousand times, but couldn’t find any good recent info. Looking for a decent budget set of plug and play led bulbs for my ram. I know there are sets from some good company’s but really was hoping to not spend 200 bucks on bulbs. Just tired of the stock bulbs. They really suck driving at night. I also know some of the cheaper ones don’t fit worth a crap. The truck is a 2017 express.

I used to buy $35 bulbs for the ram, but they would burn out and i would have return them for replacements.

After 3 sets i finally bought from under ground. Should have done this before. Brighter and more focus. So far not an issue.

After several tries I settled on Cougar Motor 3.0 Golds. CANBUS safe if you have original halogens, plug n play.
In the end I went with HID lows, Cougar highs & fogs. The HIDs are just miles above any LED I've tried, even Cougar.

I run Sealight L2 h11 low and 9005 highs. The h11 low were plug and play. The 9005 required modification to clock correctly in our trucks. Nothing hard to do but means they are not plug in play in our truck.

I can't validate if the require can bus adapter as I just used AlfaOBD to set everything to HID as part of the install. I didn't bother trying them without setting HID.

They have excellent pattern and light output.

What’s involved in clocking the fogs? Trimming the lock tabs?

Not much. Under the seal o-ring there is two screws 180 degrees apart. You remove those screws which allows the mount collar to be removed. Drill two new holes at 90 degrees from the original holes. Put the collar back on using the new holes and install the bulbs.

This is a picture of the H11 bulb but the 9005 is similar. The screw you are removing is the black Phillips head just above the seal.
