Hi all,

Looking for a reasonable option for an LED curved light bar that will fit on a 15’ sport front bumper. My limited research tells me it’s 42”.

Whom offers the best choices for “plug and play” kits that include brackets, harness, switch and the light itself?

Thanks In advance.

I had a 42" in my 15 ram sport and it is now in my 18 ram sport bumper. I have done 4 of them for friends locally and 42" is the best fit for the brackets that will have to be made to mount the light bars own brackets to. If you have any questions just let me know and i can help you out

I was kind of on the fence about a light bar, mainly because WI law doesn't allow them to be used on the street. I was in the woods this weekend, and my truck went down a fire road and the light bar would have been nice. but that's like .5% of the year I might use one offroad.

I use my light bar every day. I work in a "compound" and my building is way in the back with a bordering wooded area full of wildlife that like to cross the road. Before the light bar I was running over animals weekly

As said earlier 42” will fir great but you’ll have to make mounting brackets. It’s not a hard job at all

Here’s a pic of how one member mounted the 42” brackets, you can get some flat bar from Home Depot

It looks good:waytogo:
Did you take the lower black plastic cover off or you still have it on?

I still have it in. You have to takenit out and cut section out of it so the light can recess into the bumper a little bit. I find this install looks cleaner on the ends because you dont have open gaps

IMG_0641.JPG Mine is a 42" as well. I had to fab some brackets to mount it and I also removed the filler plastic piece. It fits pretty good I think......

This is my light bar from rigid industries. It was the best investment. I have had it for 2 years and still works like new. I love the back lighting especially. they have different color for the back lighting.

is that a straight light bar, or reverse curved? doesn't appear to follow the body lines.

edit: never mind At $500 for a friggin light bar it doesn't matter if it's hourglass shaped.

I myself never really understood the light bars, unless you are a towing company or friggen fire fighter, or back country in a Jeep or something like that with a smaller wheel base yeah it makes sense, but just to have on your truck is juat plain goofy to me, call me old school, it's kinda like the guys with the "stacks". Just my opinion.

Well I paid 400 for the light bar from a lift shop that I trust. Most companies will price match if you show them where you can get it cheaper. I told my guy this is what I can get it for, but I rather give you the business. The light bar is not just for show. I leave early in the morning for work and the route I take has no street lights. This thing lights up the area.
