Ok guys, I just picked up a 2016 last thursday so I'm chasing some things the previous owner did. First things first, it seems the truck has a level kit installed, looks like a regular strut spacer. I've been chasing an incredibly obnoxious squeak when driving. Bought a grease needle and shot all the non serviceable spots since this truck was a tree service fleet truck and has seen a lot off off road use. All to no avail. Was digging around and noticed this. Seems that the strut spacer for whatever reason has the strut misaligned with the mount and it's rubbing bad. Needless to say a set of struts will be on the list of things to do. Now to decide on how mild or wild I'll go. I did a million Google and forum searches, but waa unable to find this exact situation. So in hopes to help others I'll post my findings.

I'll post some up after work. Everything is tight. Everything appears normal. Measure 38 fender to ground front and rear. Was installed by previous owner so I have no idea what spacer it is.

On a side note, eibach sells a full kit for like 700. Front and rear pro truck shocks, front longer coils for 2.75 lift and 1" rear coils. Interesting. There seems to be no info about it. I'm thinking if it's gaining the hemis 2.75 front lift it should settle a little lower under the ecodiesel. Similar to how the 6112s maxed out only gain 2.3 top setting but are 2.6 3 clips down from top setting for a gasser.

Nothing too exciting or seemingly out of the ordinary that I can see. If anyone would like a specific pic lmk.

I'm honestly surprised at just how much travel these trucks cycle. Even from ride height with the angles you see in the pictures, my oem strut and spacer combo will droop 4+ inches before I maxed my Jack out. Considering it's already extended 2.5" from oem ride height, that's impressive. Some uniball ucas, rcv style cv shafts and a set of custom coilovers and you have gen 1 raptor travel very easily albeit not cheap. Just very surprised at the available travel for oem components, in comparison my f150 i just traded had 2.85" of droop travel before the upper bjs and cv angles were absolutely horrid. Just for peace of mind for you guys, your angles leveled are what my ford had at stock height.

At ride height the combination from inside the strut mount to center of lower control arm bolt was dead on 21".

The last pic if of my 5100 with eibach coils on my ford. This was 2.7" of lift and totally maxed out on ALL my joints, which the vendor tried convincing me was ok 1dddb5e06ff32ad47869adf80a545e64.jpg8b6027e1332d6937587f612e4fb6cc26.jpgfad6bc41b182977bd2324000054927b5.jpgc7c84628156d367ae8e4d7659ae6e1df.jpg44bd07c1a30fe4f736e7ed4e7018ceb6.jpg

looks to me like the spring isnt centered in the strut. the strut mount on top might be broken.

Good eye. I didn't even notice that. At this point I'm just gonna run them as is until I can't get them swapped out.
