I just bought a 2008 Mega Cab 2WD and love it, but really want to get the front end leveled out. I don't need to lift the entire truck, so I was wondering if a leveling kit like this will work. I'll replace the front and rear shocks as well.

I also live in an apartment with no access to a garage, and no real way to install this myself. Anybody have any idea what it would run to have a shop install for me? Thanks!

As a quick note, I've read on this forum that replacing the shocks may not be necessary with a 2" or 2.5" front level, esp in the back, which is good news. I'll save the money for my exhaust, cold air intake and spark plugs. I also found some a 2" leveling kit on fat bobs for $70. Anyone used this?

When I leveled my 2004 I used a kit from fat bobs and had no issues. Me and my buddy did the install in his front yard. I will probably be doing the aame thing to my 2008 in the near future.

They're pretty simple to do with a jack and some hand tools. If you're still uncomfortable though, I had a shop quote me $400 for parts and labor on a leveling kit on my IFS ram 1500, which would be more expensive to do on your 2wd Megacab. Do make sure your shocks don't need replacing, ie. they're old. They can make a huge difference in ride quality.
