About to order a set of Biltein 5100 for the front of my truck. Still debating going 2.1 or 2.8 for the level. Been reading that at 2.8 there could be problems with ball joint or UCA???

Also i'm planing on using the stock 20 inch Wheels and stock tires. Would like to see some pictures with the same setup.

Thanks guys!

Some people have had problems, but others haven't up at 2.8. 2.1 seems to not have many issues.

Got mine from Moes last month. They were in stock when I was ready to buy.

Here's mine with Bilsteins at 2.8 and stock wheels. Works just like stock, it's perfect. 2.8 looks considerably higher than 2.1 when they're parked side by side, the difference is very noticeable.

No UCA or ball joint issues with Bilsteins at 2.1 or 2.8.

Another vote for 2.8. No issues whatsoever.

Did you measure befor and after the lift? Did it give you a full 2.8 or was it less? Still debating going 2.1 or 2.8.

BTW my local dealer has the Bilstein in stock...

I've had mine at 2.8 for a week now. I did go with Movotech UCAs for about $100 for the pair. It's well worth it for the cheap insurance.

So far, I have no vibrations in 2wd or 4wd. I haven't had the truck over 50mph yet as I went straight into the body lift. It should be all back together tonight though.

Here's how mine sits up front at 2.8 as I was tearing the truck down to install the body lift.

Awesome man let us know how it goes and post some pics!

I just checked my package status says my bilsteins will be delivered out by this afternoon, so hope to be getting mine installed soon as well! Would like to try and squeeze a 35x12.50r20 on there with stock wheels but may do possibly a 295/60 or 295/65 instead.

Well my bilsteins did come in late Friday afternoon, sitting on desk right now. Have appointment to get them installed Thursday! My guys I use, who have done almost all my lifts in the past said they haven't seen any issues with the 15 models at 2.8 setting and that is what they are going to do. Sure hope I don't run into any issues! As of now have them holding a set of 295/65r20s but may see if they can squeeze a true 35x12.50 in there! :)

^ Pretty sure you won't get 12.50's on factory wheels

Yeah I believe your correct. Maybe running wheel spacers but seems they would look too stuffed anyway. Is there much difference looks wise between 295/60 and 295/65? Do the 295/65 look too narrow with that extra inch in height?
