"Light Option Group" availability?

I'm looking for the "light option group" that a coworker mentioned to me.

He said that he ordered it for his 2500 he recently traded in. It came with the under-hood light and harness to the connector on the firewall, the upper and lower glovebox lights, and the center console light.

Hi Cliff,

There is no kit to add the group to a vehicle. I can supply the parts individually but in terms of the wiring and connectors being there to plug the fixtures in we have no way of knowing. Have you tried performing a forum search of adding these individual lamps?

I did, and I got an answer or two for the under hood lamp assembly and harness.

I haven't been able to locate the harness/lamp assemblies for the gloveboxes and tray under the stereo.

Someone on the forum added the upper glove box light to his 2012 with part number MOPAR OEM 4565022.
Might fit yours, too.

LAMP-UNDERHOOD

Some trucks are pre-wired for this but I cannot tell, You can take a look behind the glovebox and see if the connector is taped to the harness if so your all set

I do not see a lower glove box lamp being available, Are you sure this is an option? This image does not show any light glowing from the lower



To add overhead lighting you will need to add the overhead console and mounting bracket. Wring for this is unavailable and is part of the headliner, There may be a connector in there but in the past owners have had to hardwire them in. This also requires cutting the headliner

Also, the lower glovebox does have a light depending on the truck model. I believe it's the same part number as the upper glove box, since the location and mount type is identical.
