So, I just got my bed sprayed with Linex and the edges of the bed don’t look sharp at all and looks quite messy (I thought they should’ve done a better job at masking it). For those who have gotten the Linex bedliner, does yours look like this?DA120A23-C4FC-4DD4-99CC-6CDF2D1ED587.jpeg 931D60E7-D364-441A-B125-6A7224548F43.jpeg

I had my 2006 sprayed with Rhinoliner. They went over the top and just over the edge of the lip. It came out much better than that job in those pics.

That’s not uncommon. If you’re unhappy take it back and see what they say.

When I had mine done they actually let me watch them install it in the shop. They showed me the tape they use which has a thin piece of metal in the center of it the keeps a crisp line when it’s sprayed. I would take it back a have them fix it.

Lol on the redo it. Not like it's coming off. It is sloppy though. Maybe they can tape and do some touch ups.

They did not use the 3m tape with the wire in it. you spray and then pull the wire and it looks great.

Just checked mine. Looks good, not sure what brand it is as I ordered it that way from factory, I'm assuming line x, but don't know. Just sprayed off the pollen so sorry for the water spots. 20210315_102823.jpg

I sprayed mine myself, Line-X and Rhino are too expensive for what you get, that being quality labor..

I sprayed both my trucks, spent about 4 days prepping each one so its a good idea to do it on a vacation :)

I not only spray the beds but as you can see I do the lower quarters to prevent rock chips.

The product I used is called U-POL its a Urethane and is good as if not better than Line-X or Rhino. The job is only as good as your prep though, same goes for the job they did on your truck, I would be pissed if they sprayed mine that way, its obviously not applied properly and thick enough.

Here is U-POL : https://www.ebay.com/itm/U-POL-Rapt...4d0ba85e9fcd1234e586|ampid:PL_CLK|clp:2334524

They sell it in Black or a tintable version which I did on my blue truck to match the 4x4 sticker...
Cheers!

I had my truck done in 2008 and it was a good application but all the big blocks of wood and trunk sections have punched some big dents in the box. Old trucks had much thicker and stronger metal. But the LineX is still hanging tough. har har har

Most you guys are perfectionists and your trucks are hobby toys. Fine with me, just do not look down your noses if you ever see me. My truck is a work truck and is mechanically sound and well looked after in that application but not a show piece. I use it to make a living. Each trip into and out of the woods I make $450.00 hauling firewood. Haul mini skid steers, stump grinders in the back. Tow heavy loads.

You fight your fight I'll fight mine.

I use to have one of those, a 96 dodge 3500 5.9. I loved that black beast. I use to think that old 96 could do anything, until I got this 20 with over twice the hauling capacity. Back then a 16k fiver was a big deal
