longevity of HIDS?

I was wondering how does the life of an HID compare to regular holagen bulbs? I kind of want to take the leap and buy some, but i wouldn't want the hassle of changing them often...

So how long have you had yours? And did you have to change them already?

They will last a long time.... Check out Retro Solutions... or ask our vendor JJ with the Retro Shop. Lifetime on ballast and bulbs from Retro Solutions, his kits are good dude..

Thanks guys! I'll probably get ahold of JJ sooner than later and switch over...Just need to find someone on LI that knows how to install them...I don't want to take any chances and try to install them myself... I'll probably go 5,000k... I like the white look!

I highly advise 4300°K.

There's a reason every manufacture in the world uses them 'stock'

It's a pretty simple install man... The hardest part is finding a place to mount the Ballast and the resistors... Other than that it's all plug n go..
