Hey all, I’m not to knowledgeable with automotive ins and outs. I opened my hood recently and found what appeared to be dried up mud around the air filter box and a few other places nearby, I chalked it up to driving through mud. Today I checked under the hood again and noticed a wet orange substance (coolant?) in the same spots I seen a week ago. It’s almost a spray/splatter. Truck is running fine with no issues and no service lights on. My friend revved it around 2000 rpms while I looked and didn’t see anything. I wanted to see if anyone could give me some answers before I take it in tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

Thanks guys, it is indeed the water pump. At 72,000 miles currently and the water pump was replaced at 50,000 miles also. Crazy to think the replacement only lasted 22 thousand miles before needing attention again.

Was the clutch fan replaced with the water pump at 50k too? If that fan clutch is wobbling it can take out the pump.
