I thought about this but all the lights are on in the dash. Check engine, ABS, Traction control, the park brake light- even though it's not engaged.I think I'd crawl up and look around. If the frame isn't bent and there's just bumper damage, I think I'd see if I could get a new bumper paid for and skip the accident on the Carfax.
I'm good, acouple days now and I'm feeling it. Theybwant me to get checked again so that's always fun.Damn, I would say the RAM weathered that pretty good, compared to the tin can the other guy was driving. Score one for RAM. Hope you are in as good of shape.
Weird thing is, I was so pissed off when EMS showed up, but it wasn't until one of them said " if you weren't here and got hit those kids driving the jeep would of got killed." The jeep in front on me had 4 kids in it, they were standing behind their jeep because it had a flat. She couldn't get it off the on ramp. I do look at it as a blessing. God will put you where you need to be when you need to be there.Hope you are in good health and have a tremendous Christmas. Cars can be replaced.
Distracted driving now causes far more accidents and deaths than drunk driving ever did but you still see very little enforcement. Hope that changes soon.

Did you look at the damage to the car that hit him? Looks like 50 to me. I agree with a previous comment that the pickup came out of that in amazingly good shape though. How did you determine the striking vehicle was driving at 50 mph?
The amount of damage does not look like a 50 mph crash?
He told the cop he was doing 50. The cop said that he was probably doing over that but there was no skid marks because he never touched his brakes. How did you determine the striking vehicle was driving at 50 mph?

^^^Glad you are feeling "ok" but please get thoroughly checked out by the professionals. Find out EVERYTHING you can before the claim is closed.
Those 4 young folks ought to be sending you Thank You cards for the rest of their lives. I shudder to think what would have happened to them if you and your truck weren't there.
Even with Michigan's hands free laws (can't hold your phone/electronic devices with your hands while driving), I still see at least 25% of the driver's still holding onto their phones. Most of them it's painfully obvious they're distracted while driving.I always worry about this as I see lots of drivers looking down at their phones while traveling 90ft/sec
