Hey Guys,
I was wondering if the lower ball joints on these trucks were replaceable? I have a ripped boot in the right front so I was going to just swap it out, cannot seem to find any information online though?
2015, 4x4 1500 5.7L quad cab

Any help would be awesome
Thank you

Was just quoted from my shop to do lower ball joint/control arm, alignment, etc $610.00 otd.

I checked with a mechanic buddy and said that's not out of the ball park.

The lower joints are replaceable. Rockauto has joints available. Simple ball joint press will push them out. I ordered the moog K500286 lower joints. They seem very solid imo.

I just installed a lower moog balljoint yesterday. Its easy as long as you have a good ball joint compressor/installer. Popped out in 3 minutes of turning the c clamp.
Moog problem solver lower ball joint $40 ($32 for me with military discount).
Now my stock lower balljoint was a nightnare to remove. The small nut you put a wrench on on the bottom stripped right off (nut was seized on threads from ram not using anti-seize). I had to weld a pipe to where you are suppose to use a wrench, to get it off, and use a 3 ft breaker bar on a wrench on the actual nut.

I replaced both of my lower arms with moog that I purchased from Rock Auto. I got the ones with the greasable ball joints. This way I had new bushings also.

Removing the factory lower balljoint is easy as long as you grind off the material around the top of the balljoint. It will help the ball joint press down easy without it. The new balljoint will have a circlip that you install to keep it from dropping down.
