I recently got myself a 2012 Dodge Ram Big Horn, Quad Cab Hemi 5.7L with only 50k on it and loving it so far. Don't know nearly enough about the hemi engines as i would like but I swung by the dealership last week to go over some interior issues before the bumper to bumper warranty expires and had an oil change done at the same time. I'm not a gear head but know enough that the dealerships will feed you BS about maintenance on a newer veh and they gave me the following list to take care of as if they expected me to come back there for every oil change:
- Hemi Tune up $466.80 + tax
- Fuel Induction Service $189.99 + tax
- Front & Rear Differential Services $290 + tax
I should mention i'm in Canada so those are canadian prices but still ridiculous. I'm assuming the front and rear dif are just replacing the dif fluids which I can do myself but I wanted to check with someone more familiar with the Hemi if the others can be done myself as well and what actually needs done when they say "tune up". Cheers
