Hello. First time forum question. I have a 2025 Laramie 1500 with 3.0 L SST engine. Currently 13,000 miles. First oil change was at 8000. About 4500 miles later the engine oil overfill light came on. I drained all of the oil, approximately 6.5 L, and put back in 5 L of 0–20 synthetic, purposely underfilling. I reset the oil change light but cannot reset the oil level indicator. It still says overfilled which I’m sure it is not. Sounds like I have a faulty sensor. Has anyone had this? Is there a way to reset the oil level indicator gauge? when I try to reset the oil level indicator gauge, it says can only be done with an oil change. Which I already did and reset, but this remains on.

I ran across this thread. This guy managed to fix it himself. Here's the link.

EDIT: I had to insert a space at .com in order for it to show on here. You'll have to remove the space to make it work when you copy paste.

RamsClub: I would not be going 8K miles before an OCI. U may wanna consider 5K changes. Going 8K before a 1st change way too much.

But yer ride.
