This 644610FE-3315-423D-AD77-BEBF0FB71180.png passed me on the expressway the other day in Southeast Michigan. It had some sort of skirting hanging down in the front so you couldn’t see under it well but it did have a rollbar.

No it was a Ram. I didn't think about taking a pic of the rest of it because I see the vehicles with the camouflage a lot, but the roll bar caught my attention.

That might not be a roll bar. They were developing parts of the Grand Wagoneer using ram truck skins as the shell and the "roll bar" was place of what the body would support.
Being around the metro Detroit area, sightings of these camouflage test mules are a regular occurrence. Early morning you'll regularly see test mules on I-94 heading to/from Port Huron. I sometimes get to see some of the test mules up close at some of the facilities I work at.

Based on the reaction of the bronco and it’s taking up to two years to get one now from what I have heard they need to make a ram charger. Based on the pictures of the one someone made with Photoshop that I’ve seen I would buy that. At least with the Classic ram 1500 front end it looked good.

Those ones are hard to tell with the full cover. The pic I posted looked like a 2020 model front to back with the crazy vinyl and roll bar being the only difference. It could be the engineers just having fun though. A friend of mine worked at a salvage yard years ago and they would get some stuff from ford. They dismantled several Rangers that were 4X4 V8s built by ford.
