Map lights turn on when turning up dash cluster lights

Just the map lights. It's so weird. It worked after I put the new switch in. But, only works half the time.

Are the map lights/overhead console original to the truck or add-ons?

As far as I know they are original. The dome light doesn't light up either, but I'm not really worried about that yet.

That tells you something though, between your switch and overhead wiring something is off.
