I'm missing 2 cylinders
I like the truck, I have a question though. On most trucks when I see a body lift there is a big gap in between the bed and the frame of the truck. You don't have one, which is good but I was wondering why you don't. That gap is what has kept me from doing a small body lift in the past

I believe he is using the optional gap guards that performance accessories offers to compliment the body lift. I run them on all my trucks they make the body lift look a thousand times better IMO

Okay that makes sense, because to be honest I think the gap it creates looks terrible haha, thanks for the response

I'm looking at the CST Dirt series shocks for our 2WD trucks, and it says the compressed length is 11.25" and the extended length is 15.50". Because the front suspension travel relies on the shock, does that mean the full amount of travel would only be about 4"?!

Sean is right, I do have the gap guards but only up front. I do not have anything in the rear. Our trucks are the BEST at hiding body lifts, that's why I speak so highly of them. Honestly, the front gap guards only covered a small amount of engine exposer and you would be completely fine without them.

By the way, I called Bilstein to ask about the shocks that go with the MaxTrac springs, and the rep said he doesn't recommend them paired with the springs. Nothing against Maxtrac, as it isn't one of their products. Just some food for thought.

Also, thinking about it, if the stock-length shock must be used, even with a lift spring up front, then there really isn't any gain at all in suspension travel, right?

I believe there is a gain in downward travel but it takes away your upward travel.

Maybe I should just settle with a good shock if I can't change suspension travel for the better. I'm asking one of my local custom guys about fabricating up something. We'll see what he says.

tHE ONLY WAY i COULD SEE GAINING ANY SUSPENSION TRAVEL WOULD BE TO FIND A UCA THAT WILL CLEAR THE UPPER COIL BUCKET
