MDS noise

2011 5.7 Outdoorsman
there is a noise I'm getting when slowing down. usually from 30mph-15mph then shuts off. I know it has to do with the MDS because I can turn it off with shifer or tow mode. Sounds like a noisy old 4 cyl engine.
Anyone know what causes it to be so loud?

mine was noisy even after i changed my lifter and cam its how they are its a terrible design/idea. Just disable mds with tune forever like i did it does nothing but destroys your motor saves no gas

MDS = garbage!
I disable every single time I drive my truck. It's a HORRIBLE design and I could 2 ***** about gas mileage. I want a truck, not Chevy Volt.

OP,........just disable it every time you drive your truck and it will be much better.

Or if you hate it so much like alot of people get a diablo sport tuner like i did used for $200 and shut it off forever also tune makes truck lil more perky

those are joke but you can un install it if you ever have to take it in its easy lol

MDS isn't the cause of bad cams/lifters. The cause of bad cams and lifters are the ****** materials their made from. And no I'm not defending MDS, hell I turn it off too unless I'm going at least a consistent 45-50 MPH. I can't stand how lethargic the truck feels at low speeds with it engaged.

I know, I'm just messing with ya.
I'm probably never going to get an aftermarket tune/new pcm for the truck. I'm going to be spending money on the new toy instead. lol
