Turn on? Most people want it off :)

Assuming you meant off, send me a PM and I can do it for you. You'd be without your truck for about a week though.

In the meantime, pressing the steering wheel buttons for +/- will disable it too, but you have to redo it each time you put the truck in Drive.

It's on,unless you manually shut it off with either the shifter buttons,or if you have a 5th Gen pressing the tow/hual button

This is the answer. I've been doing it for just about 5 years now. You get used to it. No need to spend the time or $$$ for a tune when it can be done for free in five seconds at the start of the trip.

Yea, after my tune I caught myself doing it off and on for the next couple weeks just out of habit haha. Overall though much happier to just be able to get in and drive.

EDIT: I suspect you mean to turn it off. For a quick and dirty solution, you'll need to do a simple tune using an HP Tuner with 2x credits (which also disables the variable valve cam timing (VVT). To do it right, you'll also need to yank the MDS solenoids under the intake manifold and replace them with plugs. Now it's gone forever and doesn't affect your VVT!
EDIT: Don't unplug the MDS wire harness without removing the solenoids, THAT will also disable the variable valve cam (VVT) timing. (thanks @Mojo88 & @Wild one)

Hmmmm, I'm not sure that is correct. I found this info about turning off MDS, they mentioned to turn it off in the tune, and then:
"* Note for VVT-equipped engines: If you want to maintain VVT operation, you MUST retain the entire wiring harness for the MDS system. Once the MDS block off plugs are installed, the MDS solenoids are no longer needed. However, DO NOT cut the plugs off for the MDS solenoids or unplug the MDS harness from the main harness. Doing this will also disable the VVT."

So if you just turn off MDS in the tune and leave the solenoids and wiring in place, the VVT is still activated? Yes? No?

Deleting MDS with HP doesn't disable VVT.If you unplugged the harness at the back of the intake that goes to the mds and vvt solenoids ,then you've killed the vvt,but if you leave it plugged in and connected to the vvt solenoid, and just unplug the mds solenoids from the harness ,then vvt should still be operational

I stand corrected, you are both spot on. I forgot about those folks who unplug the harness, that's what disables VVT and is a bad practice. Edited the above post. Thanks!

Just need to add a Module. You can pick the performance with MDS Off setting.
