Basically I have someone looking to swap off their 2017 tow mirrors (chrome) for my 2014 tow mirrors (black). identical options on both, Laramie (chrome) vs sxt (black). The dealer told me the harnesses may be different and that it would be a waste of time. Is he full of it or did they change an electronic harness during that time? As far as this site goes, people are saying any 4th gen mirrors for any 4th gen. Injust want to be sure.
Next: my top led drivers side is out on the mirror. It's 169 CAD at the dealership just for the part. They also suggested swaping in pairs (driver and passenger) because of a change in the "look", but they couldn't give me anything further. Number 1, where can I get this part cheaper? Number 2, what happened to the lights? Color temperature change? I'm not paying almost 400$ for a small light.
