So recently I bought a Volant CAI / wo the scoop for now. And I like it! I definitely feel my truck pull a little harder and the throttle response is definitely there! Maybe too much...

I currently have a Jay Greene ECM and TCM tune. My question, is the pedal boost parameter set within Jay's tune? or can I plug my I3 in normal and hit modify parameters and change it that way?

I feel like I only have to push my pedal in 60% for WOT and its a bit too touchy sometimes. I just want to get on it a little bit to get up to speed but my truck decides to act like its going down a 1/4th mile.

The only way to know what Jay did is to ask him. I wouldn’t modify any parameters without asking him first as it could cause more issues than good.

Awesome I was thinking but wanted to be sure. Thanks! ill ask him. Better safe than sorry. Especially with a 30k truck.

Exactly!! And if you aren’t positive how to do it, ask him. There’s a lot of things that you can mess up if you adjust the wrong things and then you’ll have to explain it to the dealership or have a complicated fix on your hands. Better to be safe than sorry!

UPDATE / FYI for anyone who wondered this:
I asked Jay and he stated it is changed in the tune but I can change it on my end if I'd like by doing the modify parameter option. So that I don't bother him with this im going to set my pedal boost back to 0% and see if it makes a change. If not I will get back with him and he'll have to send me another tune with the response turned down.

At WOT my input was 127% so I'm presuming he uses about 27% added to the curve. Do not deviate using the tuning device or a pedal commander unless you want drive by wire codes.

I actually don't use a pedal commander. I had mine set to 20% using a canned tune (That was the highest it went). Then I went with Jay. So my hopes is that I will just set it back it 0% using the modify parameter option then move it up 5% at a time until I figure out what I like exactly.

Well of course.... Plugged my i3 into my PC to update it. Updates installed fine. Now the i3 won't boot up. Stuck on startup displaying the Diablosport logo. Getting a hold of diablosport to see what can be done. Lets hope they don't say im screwed.

Update / FYI:

Called diablosport today. Welp my luck is not the best. They happen to release a firmware update that happens to brick the device.... They said it was only out for a few hours and I was a lucky one. So an RMA was created and my i3 is going to be sent back and either fixed or a new one will be sent to me. Soooooo will update when I get the new one / fixed one and get the parameter changed. and let ya'll know how it goes so you all can do the same process if you need.
