Mounting iPad Mini somewhere in cab?

hey folks. 2017 express with the uconnect 5.0 and jump seat (not the full center console)

So i have an iPad mini cellular that is really handy on trips for GPS/music/entertainment.

I have pretty much decided against grafting it into the dash because i want to retain my backup camera. I do plan on replacing my uconnect5.0 radio, because i just don't like it.

i did try some adhesive tablet mounts on the dash, just above the volume controls, but this didn't really work out. i want it to look clean and i just couldn't get it to with a simple solution like this.

right now, i pull my little draw out (jump seat) and prop the ipad up there for nav. It works, but it's not as secure/clean as I'd like.



ive been searching, but doesn't seem like this is a totally popular idea. anyone with a jump seat, or 5.0 radio, or both find a way to put a tablet in the cab without grafting it into the dash? Would appreciate any ideas/suggestions as well!

The best non invasive mounts I have used are at www.proclipusa.com. The mounts and the holders are custom to your application and they are very well built.

thanks for the suggestions! i’ll check pro clips out. I’ve look at ram mounts, and bayou goat (or something like that). both look nice. trying to get create in a way that keeps it blow the line of sight on the dash
