Has anyone noticed a significant difference in MPG towing when your fuel/oil filters are new versus nearly used up? We took a trip towing our 5th wheel under 200 miles (190 miles) which normally would be no problem, but this trip we were running on fumes both ways. there was some wind, but nothing unusually strong and no mountain towing (south Texas/Austin area.) My fuel and oil filters were at about 30% life left. I usually change/replace both prior to our bigger trips and we usually can plan around 230-240 miles between fuel stops towing with plenty of buffer (usually 1/4 left,) but now I'm worried. Thoughts?
