Muffler delete questions

Magnaflow 10778 (3" in/dual 2.5" out)

This came in yesterday and I was wondering if you put the single 3" end on the OEM exhaust pipe and run 2 2.25" pipes back to the end to the resonators pipes? Or vice versa, the Y at the resonators and a single 3" pipe to the OEM pipe?

Just curious if one way is better or preferred over the other.

On my widowmaker, I've got a section of 3 inch pipe, then the Widowmaker, with the Same magnaflow y pipe in your picture, with 2.5 inch to 2.25 inch reducers connecting to the factory tail pipes
