Hello everyone I have a few problems that I need help with. First is that I did a gauge cluster test and I got the AC code which is "ABS messages not received" so could someone possibly tell me what is wrong with that along with these next problems. The other 2 things are P codes including the codes P0522 and P2161. Considering my truck has 213K on the original motor I'm sure the oil sensor needs to be changed but the P2161 I am unfamiliar with. I've looked here and there but it sounds like the P2161 is something with the speed sensor "B" and my truck's rear end is making a whining noise which is the pinion bearings according to my father so if the speed sensor is in the diff could the diff have problems? Last thing which is nothing really is that the gas gauge never tells the truth. I drove to Detroit which is 20 miles my from house and it said by the time I was done I had 1/2 tank when it was full before I left. After I got home I turned the truck completely off and turned it back on and it was just barely before full which I expect the gas level to be. I got about 13 mpg that entire trip so that's why I say that. Thanks to everyone

I can speak to the fuel gauge issue; good chance you have a vacuum leak. Depending on how much it does affect the fuel readings. As for the speed sensor that should be on the tranny and if anything like the grand cherokees which i am a master on those are cheap oem parts and very easy to do. Under 25 for the sensor from online dealers and takes 3 minutes start to finish to complete repair.

Sorry for the late response but could you direct me to where exactly these leaks could occur for the gas tank vacuum? As for the speed sensor and ABS messages I think it has something to do with the ABS speedo sensor going into the differential at the top. I had forgot that yesterday I had also filled the bed up with about 3,000 lbs of dirt to help my parents out with a ditch in their backyard and the bed was sitting pretty low so it may have done some damage with that :/ And yes I checked the fluid and it was fine.

Any vacuum line. On my last vehicle grand cherokee came down to a bad hose connector on the the cruise control module under the front bumper, so you never know. I would just check all the hoses and replace as needed which good chance alot are in need.

Ok well I might have an idea on where it could leak although I don't hear any hissing at all. I took the intake apart and cleaned the throttle body a little while ago so I might not have seated the engine cover onto the throttle body correctly and the vent hose that plugs into that cover was pretty torn up. I think its the crankcase breather hose.

Oh and I also forgot to say that I found I have an exhaust leak on the right header so are 2003 Hemi's victims of breaking exhaust bolts?

crankcase breather hoses are notorious for leaking over time and causing minor issues, so yes fix that up and see what happens.

Ok I popped the hood yesterday and found that the crankcase breather wasn't seated onto the 'Hemi hat" for the air intake. I have noticed it's a lot quieter now and it seems to be speeding up well at a decent speed. My exhaust leak sounds to be getting worse and I can really hear the ticking inside the cab when it's cold and I'm taking off. I have found the problem to be at the right headers so that's probably also my other fix. I'll have to wait for the weekend to swap the header gaskets out and hopefully a bolt won't break off. I also found my gas gauge seems to be working good now however I still have P0522 and that AC code for the gauge check. Looks like Ill also be getting a oil pressure sensor and differential ABS module.
