I once had a '64 Mercury, Marauder, 390 c.i. 330 hp. QUIT BITCHEN, I'd love to have gotten 13.6 or even 10.6 mpg

I have a 2016 Ram Eco Diesel and I average 19-20 MPG city and 26-28 hwy.

as for yours, you will have a significant difference once you get some miles on the truck, give it time.

Not Normal IMO. Gears mean everything though. I have 2019 5.7 eTorque Laramie with 3:73 gears. The worse I have gotten is 17.5. I actually got 25 mpg in the Louisiana flatlands on a 300 mile trip. The 3:73 gears actually pull a load better at speed. The eTorque will pull anything from a standstill, at least get it going.

I have the 2019 and @ 25,000 miles gas mileage is still in the 14-15 range - on a straight interstate with no bumps, hills or dips I maybe will see a 16... it never really improved. the only downside to this truck imo...

Even my 2009 HEMI gets better than that in the city. Of course all depends on your driving style and amount of traffic in your city.

My Big Horn has 3:90 gears and ORP, only difference gas mileage wise would be the tires (P275/60R18 vs. LT275/65R18) for all purposes you would think this would get about the same gas mileage as a Rebel. I get 19-20 (if I stay below 75), but the Rebels, seems to get far worst, must be the heavier, more aggressive tires.

If it's anything like my old car the range estimates to empty is based on the last like 50 miles of driving not on highway miles, so when I take a drive into town my estimate usually goes up over the hundred miles, ie I start out with a 300 mi range estimates and end at 400 mi after driving 100 mi...

I haven't done a decent amount of testing given that I've only just passed 500 mi, but it feels like the flight computer is a bit off on the mile per gallon estimate,

I took my bighorn up a mountain nearby here after a bit of a wind and snowstorm. I was hoping for more snow found a few inches to play in but nothing too thick, enough to play with the four-wheel drive anyway.

It climbs from 725 ft to 3,130 ft over 7.5 miles. According to the computer; On the way up I got 9.8 mpg, on the way down I got 9.8 mpg. On the way home on the highway I got 21 mpgs. It seems odd to me that I'll get the exact same MPG going downhill with engine brake most of the way as is going uphill while in four-wheel while also stopping many of times to grab pics as well as clear out a few trees that were on the road.

It does seem to suck down gas though, I would highly recommend new shoppers to find one with an extended gas tank. Feels like it's going to be annoying to have to stop and fill up every couple hundred miles.

Right now my Bighorn 5.7L with around 2200 miles on it, is getting 16mpg around town. That's back and forth to work. On weekends I play hard with it and it drops then. :)

dang glad my 2020 power wagon does not suck gas like a rebel...

...Best post on this page!!!

I'm having the same problem as others. 2021 Ram Rebel w/ eTorque. My hand-calculated MPG is terrible. 12.6, 13.7, 13.0, 14.5 MPG on each tank. Truck is now at 1,500 miles. The 14.5 MPG tank was hypermiling to the extreme.

The Rebel is an awesome truck, but between the terrible MPG and all of the software errors, I'm starting to regret this expensive purchase. My old 2012 2500HD gasser did the same for MPG. I'm still hoping it gets better.

City MPG is very subjective, my 5.7 Bighorn, 4X4, ORP, 3:90s, Crew Cab get 14-16 around town.

That's pretty decent around town to me.
Not many stop lights in my town, mostly stop signs. Hence, hard to compare one person's city driving in stop and go traffic with a heavy foot to another person's with just some stop lights.
