Snapped a pic when I pulled into my garage last night from an app. 160 mile round-trip that was 95% highway driving. I had it on cruise running 73MPH for a good portion of the way [I-95] there-n-back.

All things taken into consideration, I'd be a [total] fool to compain.....

I have next to no performance mods [my sig will reveal the very, very mild mods].

By all accounts my truck should NOT be getting this type of mileage.... especially considering the miles on the vehicle [you can see it in the pic] and the 5.7 Hemi.... but it does.

I ALWAYS run 89-octane [with Seafoam added every 3rd fill], almost always avoid heavy, sudden launches off the mark, ALWAYS leave MDS active, ALWAYS run Amsoil motor oil with Royal Purple or Amsoil/Wixx filter and that's about it.

Yeah, I think I may have lucked out with this ride.

Like I said.... dang I love this truck!

Looks about right. These trucks really aren't that bad for what they are. My 2011 hemi gets better mpg than my dads 04 4.7

Yeah, those WetherTech in channels and hood deflector create great aerodynamics.

I can provide dyno readouts before and after if you wish... ?

That's very good mpg. Did you compare your EVIC readout versus actual yet?

I found mine to be off by a substantial amount at times, that's why I always calcualte mine on each fill-up.

Great mileage, I was trying to get my wife to let's take a ride down to Portland, Or. so I can see my mileage after I install my cai and y-pipe,exhaust but she didn't want to go. I guess that I can go along and I don't mind it but just getting the time to do it.

I95 must be a flat ass highway lol.

I got decent mileage (18-20, 19 avg) coming home from Slidell, LA from getting my exhaust put on. It consists of mostly rough ass, flat LA roads on I10/59. I was running premium, and my next fill was of regular. Now I'm not getting nearly as good, but I haven't been on the same highway and I've also been throttling it hard when given the chance lol.

Sounds like Louisiana. Now here in MS, most of our highways and interstates are like glass. I-10 sucks but its heavy heavy traffic. I-59 where I live is actually boring because its so soft and straight.

Heys Guys,

I just got my 2012 Dodge Ram. I was reading in the manual a little about the "Eco" and " Eco On" which is supposed to save on gas. I have only seen "Eco" so far but only have 300 miles on it. Can anyone tell me the difference or something I need to set???? Any help would be great.

It just there to tell you that your driving Economical. It has nothing to do with the MDS system. You can turn the ECO light off thru the EVIC
