I have a 2014 Ram 1500 SLT and I would like to know if I can put navigation on it, as it doesn't come with it and the ucconnet update doesn't show it. Does anyone know if I can put it on?

If it has a factory RA3 then it used to be a paid option to add Navigation. Many would just upgrade to the the Nav version of your radio the RA4 (which also added HD radio). My suggestion would be to to the 2018+ UAS/UAQ Radio upgrade to get Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for Navigation. The UAQ also has factory Navigation but the maps are always years out of date and cost $150 to update (they may have stopped releasing map updates for those too, not sure).

If you have an 8.4 radio in there the Navigation can be enabled for a a few but don't waste your money. The maps are out of date and the navigation is subpar.
The best option is to upgrade the current radio to an '18 or later 8.4 radio that supports AndroidAuto and CarPlay if you want to keep an OEM radio. There's several threads on how to and what's needed in the Fourth Generation section of the forum.
Other options are going with an aftermarket head unit, a popular option is going to https://www.crutchfield.com/ to pick out a head unit with the options your looking for

Factory nav is not impressive at all. I updated my system to enable nav. I mean, it’s better than nothing, but not much. I do not find it particularly accurate. Mine will tell me to turn AFTER I’m halfway through the turn.

It also appears to freeze up the system at times, like when I’m in remote parts of the US. (Although I don’t see what’s so particularly remote about Grand Forks, ND.)

My Challenger with CarPlay is miles ahead of factory Nav IMHO.

It’s your money obviously but I believe you’re money ahead upgrading the hardware.

The factory NAV is a complete POS that is barely better than useless.

I crossed Southern Ontario last year, for the entire trip it directed me to use the next exit, and constantly provided false notifications of broken down vehicles that disabled the entire NAV until touching an OK button.

Fortunately, I had determined the best route before departure and knew to stay on the 401 for the entire trip.

On the return trip, I used an old fashioned TomTom GPS that was nearly perfect.

Buying the factory NAV has been the only aspect of buying a new Ram truck that I regret, a big waste of time and money.

Almost every time I've trusted the NAV, I am seriously disappointed after it directs me to follow the worst gas guzzling and indirect route possible.

Take the time to research this topic, don't waste your time or money like many of us have.
