Just picked up my 2023 Big Horn and just found this site, have a few questions about the Nav (12 inch screen) please be gentile lol? Hopefully asking in 1 thread is okay? First my Nav does not show live traffic flow (it did at first)? Second I have a Samsung phone when I USB or use Android Auto only half screen map shows up can that be changed to full screen? Is uconnect better than Android Auto? At one point the screen came up TOMTOM? I did try looking through other threads but did not see anything about same issue?

I have a 2020 Larime with 12" screen. I suspect the traffic is based on your trial of SirusXM. There is a long thread somewhere about the full screen android auto (basically the answer is "no"). I personally prefer the Android Auto over the built-in nav as it has more features, live traffic, and the search is actually usable (POI, address is about the same). I keep the nav on the top 1/2 and music/media on the bottom.

TomTom is apparently who Ram uses for their Nav software. I never use the built in nav on my 22 Ltd Longhorn's 12" screen. If I need nav, I fire up wireless AA and use Google Maps. It is far superior to the built in stuff.

i use an apple iphone (iOS) It seems the android phones offer a lot more options.
You can run Waze, it's usually the most up to date dealing with traffic issues as the traffic information is crowd-sourced (all the mapping programs use a form a crowd-sourced information). Even Google Maps is available on iOS

yea, we use the Waze app when we travel. Wife loves it because she looks for the cops...lol..not that i speed...well, not all the time.

I refuse to pay Uconnect the $100 to upgrade the OEM maps when most offer free updates, especially for the price we pay for these trucks. OK, i'm off the soap box. I also let sirius lapse....i never used it when it was free.

unfortunately for me, i use an apple iphone (iOS) It seems the android phones offer a lot more options. My opinion, Apple loves their control over you.
My wife has an iPhone, I have an Andriod. We've both had our phones about 3 years. Up until recently, my wife was getting updates every week or two, and it usually buggered something up like rearranging here icons or something. From the start, I was able to set mine to "Manual Updates", so it only did it when I wanted it to. I've done it every few months since I got the phone and there hasn't been a new update in about 2 years. And I never have any issues with it, it just keep chugging along.

Automatic updates are evil and problematic for any operating system.

I update my phone and PC on my schedule and preference, both are locked and can't update without my approval.

For the Android phone, I always run a backup before any software updates so if it craps out, I can restore everything.

My PC never updates without my approval and I pick and choose, then manually update Windows with my own utility.

Microsoft doesn't own my PC, I do.

I use Google maps through my I Phone. Sufficient to get me to where I am going. BUT I travel so infrequently, not a real issue.
