I want to replace my badly rusted out 02 1500 bed for a 07 2500 bed. Is there any issues I should be aware. They are the similar color so it will be a cheap fix to a nasty problem. Can't hardly walk by it without being scratched by crap sticking out from the fender wells.

Dodge Ram 1500 in 2002, was the first year of the 3RD Generation trucks.
2007 model year, 2500 model Dodge Rams were also 3RD Generation.

That would seem that as long as the beds are the same length, it should fit with minor adjustments

Thanks' That's what I thought, but I didn't know if there is a difference 1500 or 2500 mount location.

The 2500 frame would be a little beefier, but the holes should be in about the same location,
maybe some of the holes may have to be elongated.

to me, that is a minor adjustment
You may need to use Body Washers or fender washers
a body washer has a regular size hole, but it has a wide surface.
They have them at most hardware stores
