It was very clear to me that the mechanic told you it was the rad, however the question remains, if you still have the same leak, then he might well have been wrong and the actual fix was a lot cheaper and easier. Or the rad may have been pooched and he just didn't tighten a hose right. You will never know now unless you closely examined the old rad and could see where it was leaking.That is the plan.
