Ok, so....I have a small dilemma.
When I bought my 2010 I originally planned on purchasing a Raceland cutout for it. But......they were out of stock and told me it would probably be JULY before they were back in stock. I couldn't wait that long. So........I got my mufflex delete kit. Now......the Raceland's are in stock.
So - what do I do?
Option A - keep my mufflex that I already have installed.
Option B - Go back to stock, install raceland cutout.
Issues - the wife made a comment the other day about how "loud" the truck is. So did her new boss...........LOL. I can live with that, but if it means that we can't take the truck when I want to......then I'd drop the mufflex in a heartbeat.
Now, I want to be able to go back to stock easily. I am not putting anything on this truck that I won't take off when the lease is up. (well......maybe the level will stay on again). Anyway - here is my thought - if I go with the cutout I would install it in the long straight pipe before the muffler. Is it as simple as taking a saw to the exhaust pipe, cutting the section out that I don't need, and someone using a clamp to put the cutout in? And when done, use the same clamps to put the stock pipe back in? Does that make sense?
No, I'm not having it welded in. That costs $$ to install and to have removed.
Let me hear your thoughts fellas.
