I bought a Rockford Fosgate 401s amp off of a friend. He said he promises it works, and he'll give me my money back if it doesn't. Anyway, I can get it to work. I have a good power, and remote connection (both show 12v). But it won't light up, or power the sub. It doesn't make any noises, or any protect mode lights on. Any solutions?

double check your ground.

I'll double check it tomorrow. I noticed the Rockford Fosgate emblem is lite up, but not very bright. I tried using a different RCA cable, with no different result. I played around with my Alpine headunit to make sure the sub is turned on.

Def check your ground. You may have to sand it to bare metal if you have it on a painted surface

What's your power source? The stock harness?

I have an Alpine Headunit, hooked up to an aftermarket wiring harness, connected to the factory harness.
