PM me and I can help you. This past fall I put 2015 Sport heated and cooled seats into my 2012 Regular Cab.

You would need to just run a fused power and a ground to the vent fans themselves with an on off switch switch. You can make them work that way but they will only have one speed The vented seats are controlled through the HSM (Heated Seat Module) under the driver's seat. As you know it will not communicate with your year truck so basically that's your only option. You just need to look under the seat and find the wires that actually run to the fans from the HSM. The fan in the back is much harder to get to. You may need to unzip the back seat cover to trace the wires to the vent fan.
