I'm driving to the store with my daughter in my new to me(2015) ram.
Park.
Or so I thought.
Turn knob to park... take key fob out... car starts blinking lights, wipers turn on even though they are in off position. Engine is running... key is in my hand... of course my little daughter is freaking out... I'm not sure what to do. Pull battery cables? Engine won't shut down from that....
What is happening? Any ideas? Please help with info if you can

Did you try to turn the truck back on then off again?
To get the truck to shut down, don't pull the battery cable, you can damage the ECM and other modules. Pull the fuel pump fuse which I think is F70. Once the truck stalls out then pull the battery cable.

Yes...tried using the key fob, turned it to the on position back to off, on again... no difference.

Wow...I'm not even sure where the fuse box is.... having my 8 year old here isn't helping.... I'll google location.

Ok...out of frustration I punched the ignition. And everything shut down.... put key fob in, car turned over like normal.... turned it to off position and it shut down...
any ideas? Bad ignition switch?
Would a bad ignition switch cause the truck to go haywire like that?
Like I saiid before, wipers came on, lights blinking everywhere, car running with no key, wouldn't go into gear.
