So yesterday morning on my way to work the check engine light came on, went by autozone after work to have them pull the code. Code was for the camshaft sensor. $10 in stock. I replaced it this morning and then an hour later went to the movies with the gf. Ran just fine on the way there. On the return trip I had loss of acceleration on the highway going about 65mph. Acceleration came back after I dropped to about 45/50mph and then I took the next exit and the same loss of acceleration happened again on the exit ramp. Drove the remaining 10mins home with no issues. Is this a normal thing after replacing this sensor as the truck runs through its cycles or do I need to start looking for another issue?
