Kicker makes great subs but the L7 in my experience takes a ton of airspace.
The new Q's, we have a QL712 in .88 sealed under the back seat of a 2014 Silverado, and 1000 watts, thing hammers. New Q L7's do small, small. Similar to the Comp Q. The older L7 12's, minimum Id do is about 1.75 ported.

Have y'all seen the L7QB8 would be cool to add to the rear floor behind the middle console. And have maybe two 10"s under the rear seats.

Yeah, only very select Q Class dealers can get them.

The QB8 POUNDS, we put one in a RZR off a PXi500.1 and it hammers! That's how small the L78 Q series can fit into. I can go grab a pic, a RZR with 15 speakers....and 2000 watts...its LOUD

thats what my plan is. Run the L78 on the floor right behind my center console. Which I'm assuming will require its own amp. And have a ported or sealed box made and run two 10"s I just don't know what kind of subs yet. What's a good recommendation? For the two 10"s?

Yes the QB8 would need an amp, 500-up.

What are some good SPL subs?

Do some reading on the interwebs, and acquaint yourself with better quality gear which isn't sold at every chain electronics store. JL/Pioneer/Alpine? maybe for head units. Look up Sundown, Digital Designs (DD), DC, Audioque and more. Boutique brands HAVE to try hard and support you in order to stay alive. They often provide better value than name brands you're familiar with.

I have ordered some stuff without hearing it or knowing much about the company, and have been blown away :favorites13:

In the states, the brands you mention are sold at AFM B&M stores as well.

Now SPL subs also sometimes don't sound very "musical" and require huge deep enclosures due to oversized motor assemblies, and need a ton of power to get loud.

I'd rather see someone get a SQL sub, loud, yet musical, with a local dealer to support his issues if any arise.
